The BFP-CAR Regional Office conducted the 1st Quarter Command Conference and Planning Session at Nene Pimentel Hall of DILG-Regional Office, Baguio City on February 16-17, 2016. It was presided by the BFP-CAR, Regional Director, SSUPT MARIA SOFIA B MENDOZA, MPA participated by the Regional Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, Provincial Fire Marshals, City Fire Marshals and Municipal Fire Marshals.
The first day of the conference covered the presentations of accomplishments for Lower Units for the CY 2015 by the Provincial Fire Marshals. Also, issues and concerns were discussed during the course of presentation. Problems on lack of personnel were the most common issues been raised. Meanwhile, suggestions and comments on the said issues were discussed by CINSP ROBERTO C ARAGON, Chief Admin Division. To address on lack of PPE’s in every fire stations, SINSP JOSE C PAATAN, Chief of Logistics Division give also updates on procurements of such PPE’s and office supplies. The Operation Division headed by SINSP FRANCISCO M COPES tackled updates on operational matters. Furthermore, on the second day, Regional Director, SSUPT MARIA SOFIA B MENDOZA started the conference with the discussion on different issues and concerns regarding plans and programs on OPCR which include specific goals on which the organization intends to achieve in congruence with the provision of Fire Code or its Implementing Rules and Regulations. Comments, suggestions and recommendations for the compliance of the BFP-CAR Plans and Programs were also discussed by the Regional Director. Subsequently, SFO4 Melvin Quidilig tackled Financial and Management Division’s concerns and updates. After which, to end the two days conference, the Regional Director gave her closing remarks by commending all BFP-CAR officers and personnel for the successful undertakings of said activity.
